Biological control is a form of pest control. It involves the careful use of one living organism to manage, manipulate or control the population of a pest species. The following is a short list of common or main terms used in biological control. It is not intended to be exhaustive. Most of the expressions are straightforward. However, as scientists opinions can differ there may be some definitions open to criticism.
